Privacy

After a discussion of options with John, I have made this a private blog. At the moment, one has to be invited in order to read or contributre to this blog. I just want to remind everyone, that things can be hacked, so we can use this to post more internal stuff, but remember, in many ways it remains a public document.

Also, for those who have not used this technology much, on the right side of the frame is the list of titles for the posts (new threads). If you click on one of the titles, you will reveal comments for that particular thread. It is helpful if you create a title for any new posts you make.

John -- congrats on the new position. I, too, have moved along -- am now serving as Director of Development for the Roger Tory Peterson Institute (Jamestown) while their director is on a leave of absence related to bad health problems of her adult children. Half time in December, 3/4 time at least through March and maybe a bit beyond. So... a little less time to participate, but still a willingness. I hope we can focus on 1) our own objectives in the coming calendar year (e.g. a first annual report, a tool useful for other elements to plan and evaluate their progress, etc.) 2) some actually helpful feedback to Rex/Bronwen regarding Presbytery meetings and Lance/Bronwen regarding council meetings. That's a lot, I realize. Will help how I can.
Merry Christmas and peace for the New Year,
Dick R.

Documents

Hey John,
How about if we set up a thread that is for all of the attachments. Then you can include them with a label for date & time and topic as the title of the post.

Personal Note

Tomorow I start a new job as the Acquisitions Librarian at D'Youville College. I'm all excited because this job is all about library technical services, the kind of work I love.

Germane to our group's life is the fact that this new job is full-time. My previous job at the same library was 1/2 time, so I won't have as much discretionary time available as before. This is the reason I won't be able to get to any late afternoon meetings, I don't finish work until 5:00.

John.

P.S. Thanks Cathy, for getting this blog up and running; I love this format!

I'm In

Hi Folks --

I'm in now and I am copying the Proposed Agenda from our cancelled December Meeting to this post. I haven't found at 'attach' option so I'll assume documents are to be copied into the body of a posting.

Two matters I feel are pressing:
1) Approving the Comments Section of the compiled December Presbytery Meeting Questionnaire so we can pass this onto Rex, et al. in time for the 8 January Council Meeting.
2) Approving the questions for the Presbytery Meeting Questionnaire to be used at 26 January Presbytery Meeting.

Question:
Did the materials distributed at the December Presbytery Meeting include the compilation of the Questionnaire Comments from the September Presbytery Meeting?

Proposed Agenda
5:00 Opening Devotion – John McClester

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be.
